General Info

1 When is the marathon? Sunday, February 5, 2017
2 Who is the host hotel? Doubletree by Hilton
3 What time does it start? Official start time is 7:30 am (sharp)
4 4. Where do I pick up my race packet? At the EXPO at Kleman Plaza on Saturday, February 4th 11-5 pm
5 Bag Check? Race day at start line, in front of courthouse. 6:15 am -7:30 am. No race day registration. Do not forget your bib. $35 Cash only for a replacement bib. Registration verification is required. Bags should be dropped at the finish area at Kleman Plaza, 1 block from the start. Please attach the provided tag from your bib to your drop bag for proper identification.
6 Where is the start line? On North Monroe Street, in front of the Leon County Courthouse (downtown Tallahassee)
7 Where is the finish line? On Duval Street, in front of Kleman Plaza (downtown Tallahassee) and right behind City Hall
8 What is the age minimum for race? 16 on race day for marathon. 14 on race day for half marathon. Anyone under 18 must have a waiver signed by parent or guardian
9 Moving to a different distance Email tallahasseemarathon@gmail.com to make the change
10 Deferments We will not be offering deferments/refunds for any future races and your registrations can not be transferred to another runner. All sales are final.
11 Where can I park? Good news for hotel guests. Everything is within walking distance of our host hotel. Parking for Expo will be available at Kleman Plaza through both the Duval and Bronough entrance. Street parking is also available downtown. On race day, Kleman Plaza will be available through the Bronough Street entrance only. Street parking is also available. There is also a parking garage behind the Leon County Court House (on Calhoun Street)

Course

1 What is the time limit for the race? (7) Seven hours (15 minute/mile pace)
Runners on the course after the 15 minute pace must move to the sidewalk because roads will be open-per Tallahassee Police Department
2 Water/Medical Stations Water stations will be along the course every 1 mile. Stations will have water, sports drink, snacks and Honey Stinger gels. We will have 4 medical stations along the course at miles 7, 10, 21/22 and the finish line.
3 Porta Potties These will be provided along the course at least every (2) miles
4 Marathon/Half Marathon Course Split Look for the signs and volunteers directing you to the half marathon split.

Medical

1 What if I have an emergency on the course? Several people along the course will have to our emergency plan and contact numbers. Ambulance crews are stationed along the course and FSU Medical Response Units on campus are ready to mobilize.
  • Medical Station 1: Mile 7
  • Medical Station 2: Mile 10
  • Medical Station 3: St. Marks Trail (Mile 21/22)
  • Medical Station 4: At the Finish.

Expo

1 Where/When is the EXPO? Saturday, February 4, 2017 11:00 am - 5:00 pm

2 Can I register and pick up my race packet at the EXPO? Yes, from 11-5

3 Can someone else pick up my race packet? Yes, but the race is not responsible for anyone whose packet is picked up by another individual. There will be limited race day pick up.
